MODEL INFORMATION

Fashion X focuses on inclusive runways. We cast models that fit the more traditional “professional model” category along with models of various sizes, abilities, genders and more.

While the majority of the models we cast are people we’ve worked with in the past, we are always on the lookout for fresh faces.

Typically, we host at least one open model call each season. Once you have completed the application, you will be given further model call details. You will not hear from us until a couple of weeks before the model call. The next model call will be held in Spring 2024.

If you have a child that would like to model, please complete the application, but opportunities for children models are extremely limited.

Please note: All Fashion X  events are 100% inclusive. We do not discriminate for any reason whatsoever. You can have an intellectual or physical disability. You can be transgender. You can be short or tall. You can be size 0 to size 100. We are always willing to review any potential model and will ultimately cast models based on designer needs and wants and how those align with our mission.

PAYMENT & TRAVEL

The majority of model Fashion X hires are paid for their services. Periodically, and based on overall budgets, inexperienced or specialty models are asked to volunteer or trade services. For models traveling to one of the Fashion X event cities, Fashion X is unable to compensate for travel expenses. Please be aware of that when applying. In 2024, Fashion X events are currently planned in Austin and Dallas with possible opportunities in Houston, San Antonio and Fort Worth through 2024 and 2025.

MODEL APPLICATION DEADLINE

Deadlines for each event vary, but generally the model application deadline is about 6 weeks prior to each event. NOTE: Models ONLY NEED TO APPLY ONE TIME for the entire calendar year. You will be invited to all model calls during the year after you’ve applied and will be considered for all cities/events.

The Spring 2024 Austin Fashion Week Model Application HAS CLOSED. No models applying will be considered for Spring 2024 shows in Austin. All applicants that apply at this point will be considered for Fall shows in whatever cities you choose on your application.

If you are a model that has been hired by us in the past, please complete one application for 2024 as well so we know you’re still interested in walking for us in the future.

MODEL CALL INFORMATION

The Spring Austin Fashion Week Model Call will take place on Sunday, March 17 at The Domain in Austin from 9:00 am – Noon. EXACT DETAILS OF THE MODEL CALL ARE BEING SENT NO LATER THAN NOON CENTRAL TIME ON TUESDAY, MARCH 12. IF YOU HAVE APPLIED PRIOR TO MARCH 11 AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED THIS INFORMATION, PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER. Exact details will ONLY be sent to those that have completed and submitted an application. Anyone that has not completed an application by Monday, March 11 will not be seen at the Austin Model Call. No exceptions. If you are unable to attend that model call, we’re sorry, but there are no makeup dates.
